We sail Full Moon, a Catalina 34. Most of the time we are in the Albemarle Sound. We have taken her to Bermuda and on offshore coastal passages. We have also crewed on Caribbean-bound boats. This web site is an attempt to record the many helpful things that others have shared with us and those things we have learned the hard way about long distance cruising and ocean passage making. Safety, navigation, weather and crew considerations are discussed. Modifications we have made to Full Moon are described and detailed in photographs and drawings.
